My son is two and a half and wouldnt ever pedal his tricycle. he would try but couldnt ever get it. the other day he got on a friends tricycle (totally diff kind/shap then the one he has) and he was able to pedal that one. so maybe its the kind of tricycle he has.
My kids were about 2 1/2 when they started pedaling. I bought it for my daughter when she turned 2, but it took a while. She was about 2 1/2 when she became proficient. My son started at 2 but didn’t whiz on it until he was 2 1/2. I think every child is different & if they keep practicing everyday, they’ll get the hang of it soon enough.
My son is 2 1/2 and can pedal his trike but he will only do it until he finds something more interesting outside like rocks or dirt! He LOVES to ride the little bikes around toys r us and target and crash into everything, but outside he gets way to easily distracted to even care about his trike.
